Why was your bookstore founded/what role does it play in the community?

I opened my bookstore because I noticed a need in our community after our local Waldenbooks had shut down in 2008. Books and Crannies is now the only bookstore within an hour radius and serves as a staple in our community by encouraging people to read more.
