Why was your bookstore founded/what role does it play in the community?

We’re a small bookstore in a small town in a fairly rural suburb. My passion is to be a welcoming and inclusive space that shines a light on all parts of our community. I’m particularly passionate about #OwnVoices and representative fiction/non-fiction because I never had a chance to see myself reflected in media when I was growing up. I want to be the space for the BIPOC, LGBTQ, diverse members of my community to feel seen and valued.
