Why was your bookstore founded/what role does it play in the community?

Our book store was originally Mockingbird Books founded on a love of books and a passion to shine a light on LGBTQ+, POC, and women authors. It was bought and rebranded in 2023 as the former owners moved out of town but wanted someone to carry on the legacy they left. Caspian Books was born with the same passion for great books and a safe space for all authors. As the only book store in a small town we strive to carry an inclusive selection for everyone. We want to create a space for community, book lovers, and families of every shape and size.
