Why was your bookstore founded/what role does it play in the community?

TKE opened September 10th, 1977, and has always been a space for the SLC community to gather, inspire one another, and exchange ideas.

Which champion/warrior/wildcat (real or mythological) does your bookstore channel most?

Cheshire Cat

What makes your bookstore unique?

The many small rooms join together to create our nearly maze-like space and a beautiful outdoor space to host gatherings including author events (weather permitting).

What is something that no one knows about your bookstore?

Agatha, our long-time bookstore cat, is in the urn near the front door.
