Why was your bookstore founded/what role does it play in the community?

To give a voice to the LatinX community by highlighting their literary work and to help revitalize our city’s downtown; by restoring and occupying a 136-year-old Victorian home.

Which champion/warrior/wildcat (real or mythological) does your bookstore channel most?

The Phoenix, thus its name.

What makes your bookstore unique?

Our historical 136-year-old building, our integrated coffee shop, and our partnership with local vendors.
