Why was your bookstore founded/what role does it play in the community?

I founded Reid Wisely Books & Brew to ensure that every child, especially those from BIPOC and multiracial backgrounds, can find stories that mirror their own lives and experiences. Our bookstore serves as a cornerstone for families seeking representation, offering a space where diverse narratives are celebrated and embraced.

Our goal with the brick and mortar is to create a living, breathing third space where people don’t just buy books—they connect, share stories, and build relationships.
